Chelsea suffered yet another 0-2 defeat in the Premier League against Brentford FC. This was Chelsea’s seventh consecutive match without a victory. And it’s their fifth consecutive loss.

Chelsea was chasing their first win of the second Frank Lampard era but didn’t come even in this game. They fell behind on 37 minutes as a corner from the left was met by a miscued César Azpilicueta header. This saw the ball find the far corner of their own net and road. Chelsea were trailing by 0-1 against Brentford.

The second half didn’t make any difference for Chelsea. All over the half, they tried to find a goal that could equalize their situation. For another 77 minutes, the Bees failed to register a shot on target until Bryan Mbeumo popped up to double their lead and spark a furious rage around Stamford Bridge as he broke down the right at pace and cut inside before planting past Kepa at his near post to wrap up the win.

Chelsea is rumored to be ready to appoint Mauricio Pochettino as their new head coach. But it’s not going to be an easy ride for the ex-Tottenham manager if he gets the job at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea after today’s match fell eight points behind the Bees, who sit ninth, in the Premier League table.

According to reports, Fans are devastated after Chelsea lost yet another match in Premier League. They are very much not liking the current performance of the club. Lampard’s second stint hasn’t also started with a lot of promises and that has disturbed fans too.

Fans have been very verbal on Social Media in giving their opinion on the club’s current form. One fan wrote, “Even Bendel Insurance can defeat this Chelsea team 2-0 “. While a second fan wrote, “Bro, every team in the league except us, Leicester and Southampton is having a good season, we’re a joke of a club at the moment”. And a third fan wrote, “Chelsea going back to where Abramovich met them Boehly you want to reap where you did not sow”.

With just 10 points off the relegation zone and matches against the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, and Arsenal still remaining, Chelsea needs a miracle to somehow get into the top 10 teams of the Premier League at the end of the season. They are next scheduled to play arch-rivals, Arsenal, next Tuesday.
