Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has said that Sadio Mane has faced punishment that the player should get. The Senegalese player had faced the punishment of a match ban and a hefty fine from his salary. The player repents for his inaction and the punishment will be sufficient for the player’s inaction. “He and Leroy Sané spoke out. Sadio has apologized to the team. We are now looking ahead”, added the president of the Bundesliga Giants during the interview.
Sadio Mane was punished as he punched Leroy Sane after the UEFA Quarter Final Match against Manchester City. Thomas Tuchel’s side was losing to Pep Guardiola‘s English side 3-0. The Senegalese player will have the punishment he deserved, said the Bayern Munich president.
This event got stretched in the dressing room when Sadio Mané landed a punch on Leroy Sane’s face. The team members separated both the players in the dressing room. Later both the German forward along with his Senegalese teammate apologised to their teammate during training.
Although there were speculations if there would be major implications in the career of the players. The Bayern Munich board confirmed that both the players trained together and apologised to their teammates about the incident. The board has only imposed a nominal punishment on Sadio Mane due to his polite conduct with everyone.
Does Bayern Munich want to get rid of Sadio Mane after the incident?
There are speculations regarding the repercussions of Sadio Mane’s action towards his fellow teammate Leroy Sane. The controversy regarding the dressing room split of the Bundesliga Giants keeps on increasing.
What came as a major surprise was how the new Bayern Munich caretaker Thomas Tuchel tried to bring Sadio Mane and Leroy Sane together. The German Tactician seems to have pardoned both players regarding the incident.
There is no symbol as of now regarding Mane losing his place in the team. Tuchel said that he would not like to talk much about the dressing room incident as it should stay in the dressing room. The German Tactician also said to have a word with both players who apologized the next day to their teammate. “I am the first advocate in defending this young player. Everyone can commit mistakes and he is a role model. He presented himself as a man, communicated and acted like a role model,” advocated the German Coach.
Sadio Mane would only be suspended for their match against Hoffenheim with a fine. It is now confirmed that the player won’t be missing the match against Manchester City in the Second leg of the quarter-final of the Champions League.
