During his tenure at the club, the German guided Chelsea to victories in the Champions League, Super Cup, and Club World Cup. However, after their 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb, new owner Todd Boehly sacked the manager. Aston Villa, Bayer Leverkusen, and even the England position have since been linked with him, but he has since revealed that there has been actual interest from clubs.

This is also what you sign up for.” When asked to recall his most memorable games at Chelsea: “There were many games that I was really happy with – the ones against Real Madrid (2-0), Atletico Madrid (2-0), Porto (2-0 and 1-0) and the final (1-0 against Manchester City).”

Before Chelsea, Thomas Tuchel managed PSG & Borussia Dortmund

Chelsea's Thomas Tuchel

Prior to accepting the job at Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea, Tuchel had success at Mainz and Borussia Dortmund. The first Champions League final for PSG was reached under his management, but they were defeated by Bayern Munich behind closed doors.

His biggest coaching moment to date came against Manchester City a year later, when the Blues won with the help of a goal from fellow German Kai Havertz. Additionally, he guided Chelsea last season during a very challenging moment when owner Roman Abramovich had his assets seized and was forced to sell the club.

Tuchel led the team through a very trying time to secure a spot in the top four and also suffered defeat in two domestic cup finals. He was sacked after 1-0 defeat against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League this season.
