Former Real Madrid and Brazil left back Marcelo has recently joined his boyhood Brazilian club Fluminense. And reportedly the left back, Marcelo, has urged his ex -Real Madrid team mate and close friend Cristiano Ronaldo to join him at the Fluminense.
The decorated duo of Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcelo has always been one to look out for. The two superstars of world football have been tight pals since their early days in Real Madrid. Ronaldo and Marcelo’s chemistry on the pitch have been quite fascinating as well. From celebrating each other’s goal to celebrating the victory of their third consecutive UEFA Champions league trophy with their iconic celebration “Siuuuuuuuuu”, Ronaldo and Marcelo were inseparable during their long stint at Santiago Bernabeu.
Both Ronaldo and Marcelo, after the Portuguese star departed from Madrid, have reportedly mentioned their desire to team up once again in the future if things turn up right for both parties. One such instance was when, according to the reports, Marcelo sent an invitation to Ronaldo, to join Brazilian club Fluminense. Marcelo reportedly in an interview said, “I sent a message to Cristiano where I said Chris, if you want you can come here whenever you want, you will be happy”.
Although Cristiano Ronaldo is currently playing for the Saudi team Al Nassr FC. But it would definitely be a dream moment for all fans of both Ronaldo and Marcelo to have a stint together at a club.

Real Madrid Legend Marcelo receives a heartwarming welcome by Maracanã

The Maracanã was filled by the Fluminense fans to welcome the legendary Brazilian and Real Madrid fullback, Marcelo. The 34-year-old Marcelo returned to his boyhood club where it all started for him.
As per reports, more than 30,000 Fluminense fans were at the famous Maracanã, to welcome Marcelo home. The former Real Madrid and Brazilian legendary left-back Marcelo returned to the club where he made his professional debut. When Marcelo reportedly stepped onto the pitch, he said, “I’m speechless, I’m very happy.”While referring to his statements to the fans who were visiting Marcana to welcome him, he said, “There will be no lack of commitment, no lack of passion or dedication. Everything for you”. Marcelo also added that it was one of the happiest moments of his life to return back to his home.
Marcelo wore the number 12 shirt for the first time in the colors of Fluminense in an emotional shirt handover. The sons of Germán Cano and PH Ganso handed it over to the two sons of the former Real Madrid player. After which they put it on to continue the chanting with fans.
After lifting Real Madrid’s fourteenth Champions League title and becoming the player with the most titles in the history of the club, Marcelo left the Spanish giants, thus putting an end to his historic stint at the club. Now, he returns to Fluminense, fulfilling one of the wishes of his great mentor, his grandfather Pedro.
