Serie A giants look set to buy Premier League’s outcast player
Juventus eyes Manchester City’s Kalvin Phillips for January transfer, per ESPN. Phillips, who joined City from Leeds United for £42 million ($52 million) in July 2022, seeks more playing time. The 28-year-old midfielder has struggled for regular minutes under Pep Guardiola.

Phillips wants more playtime and eyes exit from Manchester City. Juventus, led by Allegri, is in talks with City for a January move. City prefers a permanent transfer; Juventus is looking at a loan deal.
Phillips, eager for regular playing time, has made only four Premier League appearances this season, totaling just 89 minutes on the field. Despite the absence of City’s first-choice defensive midfielder, Rodri, due to suspension, Phillips has not been a regular starter, prompting his consideration of a move to bolster his chances of making England’s squad for the European Championships in Germany next summer.
