Reigning world champions France are still in the race to defend their world title to become the first nation to do so in 62 years after Brazil. Although, they are going to have a tough time passing the Moroccon defense with two of their very crucial players in doubt for the semi-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
French midfielder Adrien Rabiot and defender Upamecano have reportedly caught an illness and are most likely not to participate in the coming match against Morocco tomorrow. The two French footballers were crucial for Didier Deschamps and were regular starters in the World Cup.
The current champions are looking forward to securing their second World cup trophy after their dominating run in the FIFA World Cup. They played like champions against a very solid England team in the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup. A 2-1 win over Gareth Southgate’s team was a clear message to the world that they weren’t in the world cup just to participate.
The French heavyweights will have a tough time breaking the Moroccon defense considering the fact that they haven’t conceded a single goal from the opposition team. If they beat Morocco in the semi-finals of the World cup, they will face either Argentina or Croatia in the final round of the competition. Morocco has been the underdog of the tournament and will give it its all to reach the final of the FIFA World Cup and likely win it all.
