The breakup of Shakira and Gerard Piqué has been one of the most talked-about celebrity breakups in recent years. The Colombian singer put the footballer on blast numerous times using her music. Pique has also done the same with some cheeky comments in interviews. Now, it seems that the two are still not done trading indirect jabs at each other.

In a recent interview with the sports program El Larguero, hosted by Spanish presenter Manu Carreño, Pique was asked whether he misses football after retiring. He expressed his gratitude to the sport for everything it has given him. However, he made it clear that he doesn’t miss it at all. “Looking back is of little use”, he said. This statement immediately led social media to link it to Shakira, as she is a part of that past and with whom Piqué officially separated in June 2022.

“Do you miss soccer?” Manu Carreño asked Piqué. “No”, replied the former Manchester United defender. “It is a stage of my life that has passed. At the time, when you make the decision to leave, you take it, and I am very cold about this. Looking back is of little use. It went incredibly well, much better than I had expected. I feel super proud of everything I have experienced. Not even dreaming it would have turned out so well. The fact of having done my entire career or almost my entire career in the club of my life and winning everything I came to win,” he said.

“But staying in the past and enjoying all my successes, I think it would be a mistake, because in the end that no longer gives you more,” he concluded. It is clear that Shakira and Piqué are still not on good terms. Only time will tell if these two will ever be able to reconcile. However, for now, it seems that they are content to trade indirect jabs at each other through the media.

They had reserved a VIP table and were engaged in deep conversation. Shakira occasionally got up from the table to dance, while Hamilton enjoyed his drinks.

Shakira decided to call it a night at 3:30 in the morning and returned to her hotel. On the other hand, Hamilton continued clubbing until 6:00 in the morning before retiring to his hotel. The two seem to be enjoying each other’s company, amidst ongoing rumors and speculation.
