According to reports, Gerard Pique was ready to leave his current girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti, on Shakira’s instructions. The couple started having an affair while Pique was dating Shakira, who had been in a relationship with him for 11 years. After he broke up with her, the former FC Barcelona defender officially started dating the 24-year-old model. However, there were rumors of them splitting up recently.

The reason for this might have something to do with Shakira. The Colombian singer and Gerard Pique share two children, Milan and Sasha. After their breakup, they signed a custody agreement, that restricted Clara Chia from meeting them. Thus, when the children go to their father’s house to meet him, Pique’s girlfriend cannot be present.
