The former Barcelona player Cesc Fabregas has posted words of power and respect for Gerard Pique who has made up his mind on finally hanging his boots for the club, and for himself as he made the official statement of his retirement. Soon, the player gathered a plethora of warm wishes and luck.
“Dear Pique, we have 1 million photos together, but this first one is the one I feel the most and I would like to repeat these moments,” said the former Chelsea man about his long standing relationship with the Barcelona defender. “Give you a hug to tell you thank you, thank you joining me in this special journey.”
The player announced his sudden retirement amidst rising speculations from his former partner and the tough separation from her that has been surrounded by media trials from the past few months. Sole reason for a retirement doesn’t seem to be the case.
Cesc Fabregas and Gerard Pique shared a healthy camaraderie both on and off the pitch, be it being the laugh buddies, or the dinner partners, the former Chelsea player’s comments for the retiring defender, surely would have made his day.
Gerard Pique’s sudden announcement of his retirement
The Barcelona star and Spaniard Gerard Pique, has recently announced his sudden retirement with immediate effect and has played his last game for the club this Sunday. The player had a hard life both on and off the pitch, been hitting the lows in his career in terms of performing up the notch, to the club’s standard.
Having a tough separation from his ex-partner amidst rising speculations about the player being unfaithful, which has led media trials up his doors, and follow the player everywhere, his down-growing relationship with the Barcelona president was also one of the speculated reasons for the troubles of the player that he had been facing lately.
