The video had gone viral in the past year when Ghana was struggling with an economic crisis and inflation.

In a recent video, Adongo is seen apologizing for his past comments. He called Maguire a ‘transformational footballer’ and that he had turned a corner in his career. He also added that the 30-year-old is scoring goals for the club as well.

The player has commented under the Twitter post, much to the surprise of fans. Fans are expecting the duo to unite after Maguire invited the MP’s presence at Old Trafford.

He added that he felt extremely ‘privileged’ to play for his childhood club as well as the ‘Three Lions’. He said that the memories made with the National team and the fans were “the most important thing” for him. He added that even though he has enjoyed much success with England, it is now time for them to just ‘get over the line’, and win silverware. The defender added,

I know I'm appreciated in the footballing world.

In spite of his isolation from the starting line-up after Erik ten Hag‘s arrival, the player did not give up.
