According to Bayern Munich’s director, Salihamidzic, Robert Lewandowski will continue at Bayern Munich after rumors arose about a possible move to Barcelona. Bayern director quashed all those rumors about the star player’s transfer rumors and said that “he is happy” at where he belongs.

“Selling Lewandowski if Barcelona offers €40/50m? No. Yes [he will be staying], he has a contract until 2023,” said Salihamidzic.

After Bayern Munich won their tenth consecutive Bundesliga title, Lewandowski was asked about his future where he told the press, “something will happen soon. The only thing I know is that there will be a meeting.”

The Bayern Munich director also informed that Manuel Neuer and Thomas Muller are also staying at Bayern after speculations of leaving the club came up.

Robert Lewandowski is the highest scorer in the Bundesliga and is happy to continue for the Germans until his contract expires. The two-time UEFA Best player award winner has scored 48 goals in 41 outings for the German side and also scored against Dortmund to win 3-1 which gave them their 10th straight Bundesliga title.

Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga 2021/22 title under Nagelsmaan after they already won the SuperCup by beating their arch-rival Dortmund as well.

They defeated Dortmund 3-1 as Robert Lewandowski, Serge Gnabry, and Musiala scored in an emphatic victory. The Bavarians defeated Dortmund eight successive times to clinch a victory to lift the trophy with three games still to play. Dortmund was denied a penalty and had their chances of making a comeback in the game but Bayern got the better of them once more. 

Meanwhile, Robert Lewandowski has been a prolific striker this season as he currently is the top scorer in Europe’s top five leagues by a big margin.
