“Heading to go play Champions League at age 37”- USWNT player trolls Cristiano Ronaldo after Manchester United missed out on Europe’s Premier competition

Legendary USWNT player Heather O’Reilly made the announcement on July 28 that she would be coming out of retirement to join Shelbourne Football Club in Ireland. The 37-year-old midfielder simultaneously made a lighthearted comparison to Manchester United’s star forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

Cristiano Ronaldo will unluckily play in the Europa League this season after Manchester United failed to finish among the top four Premier League clubs last year. Recently, Heather O’Reilly, a Shelbourne Football Club player who will make her Champions League debut this year, made fun of Ronaldo’s absence from the illustrious club event.

After 231 appearances with the USWNT and three Olympic gold medals, O’Reilly announced her retirement in 2019. The World Cup winner has made the decision to come out of retirement to pursue her Champions League dream.

Earlier, O’Reilly said on a podcast, “I had a long, successful, trophy-ridden career and I am very proud of that, but there was this one hole on my resume that I never played Champions League football. It was a disappointing end to my time over with Arsenal when I wrapped up with them in 2018, it irked me, it bothered me. It was always a thing in the back of my head.”

“Media is telling lies”-Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo breaks his silence on transfer speculations

Cristiano Ronaldo

The future of Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United has been a subject of controversy. Although media reports have focused on various areas, the Portuguese have labelled such claims as lies and have made suggestions that they may not be accurate.

The English Premier League has just begun, and Portuguese phenomenon Cristiano Ronaldo has already made two appearances for Manchester United, both of which have ended in defeat. He reportedly wants to leave Old Trafford due to a lack of club ambition and UEFA Champions League football, and his agent Jorge Mendes hasn’t been able to convince him of a compelling offer up to this point.

Ronaldo, however, has called the media accusations “false” and hinted that the truth will be revealed in an upcoming interview even though numerous stories have suggested various parts.
