Here’s how Atletico Madrid player indirectly helped Real Madrid win the derby, according to Dani Carvajal

Real Madrid got the better of Atletico Madrid in the Madrid Derby that was played at the Metropolitano a few days ago. The score ended 2-1 for Real Madrid with Rodrygo and Valverde scoring the goals for Real with Mario Hermoso pulling one back for Atletico at the end. He went from a hero to a villain after getting sent off having received two successive yellow cards in the space of just five minutes.

Carvajal termed that incident as the main reason for Atletico losing momentum even after pulling one goal back and, in turn, it helped the Real Madrid players to slow the game down. This marked Real’s sixth consecutive victories in the league and ninth overall in all competitions becoming the only team in Europe to stay victorious in all the matches.

Real Madrid kept their perfect 100 percent run going with a 2-1 victory over arch-rivals Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano. Vinicius was surrounded by all the news for his dance celebration and his teammate Rodrygo sent a clear message to the critics after scoring the goal and celebrated in the same manner. He danced with Vinicius and other teammates showing a sign of support for his teammate.

Vinicius was close to scoring after his incredible run and got his shot blocked but his deflected shot was slotted in by Fede Valverde and Real Madrid doubled their lead. Mario Hermoso scored a goal for the home side with his shoulder after coming on from the bench but the smiles were not long as he received a red card soon after the goal.
