Former Tottenham player Kyle Walker wasn’t thrilled when a fan dropped an Arsenal jersey on the English full back after the FA Cup win against league leaders Arsenal on Friday. As Walker was making his way down the tunnel, he picked the dropped jersey and threw it back, before simply walking out. The reaction went viral as football fans claimed that Kyle Walker still holds admiration for former club Tottenham.

Arsenal came face to face with title defenders Manchester City, who had the upper hand during their FA cup win. City managed to get the lead through Nathaniel Ake’s close range curled attempt in the 64th minute, which was the only action that fans got to saw during the clash. However entertainment followed well after the final whistle when Kyle Walker made it a point to throw the Arsenal jersey.

Although the match was not as thrilling as expected, Arsenal and City come face to face again on February 16, in a much more important match. Arsenal will be looking to get the better off City after their FA Cup loss, while City will be looking to gain three points to close the gap between the league leaders in the Premier League.

Fans were thrilled by Kyle Walker’s theatrics as they took their reactions to social media right after the final whistle. Praises seemed to follow the English international, as he was seen celebrating in the face of former City player Oleksandr Zinchenko screaming right at the final whistle. Walker did not stop just there, as fans tweeted their reactions after Walker threw the Arsenal jersey.

“He’s Spurs through and through,” a fan tweeted, reminding everyone of Walker’s time at Tottenham Hotspurs. “He’s still got that Tottenham DNA,” another fan tweeted. “I love Kyle Walker. He laughs in Tierney’s face when we beat them 5-0 and yesterday he threw an Arsenal shirt back to the stands,” third tweet read.

The City defender issued a warning against current league leaders, saying, “As we all know, there is a lot of football to be played.” Manchester City face Walker’s former club in their next premier league on February 5, as they look to close the gap between first-placed Arsenal.
