Ryan Reynolds, co-owner of Wrexham Football Club, remains confident that the Welsh side can reach the Premier League within the next ten years. Reynolds flew in to watch the club’s thrilling 3-3 draw against Sheffield United in the FA Cup, which saw the Red Dragons hold their own against the second-tier club with hopes of returning to the top flight.

Reynolds, who watched the team’s 3-3 draw against Sheffield United in the FA Cup, said: “In 10 years’ time, the plan is the Premier League. Why not? No one has ever done anything great in this world thinking, ‘let’s go halfway’. We believe we can do that and we believe we can expand this incredible stadium to something that will support international matches and a Premier League team. That’s the goal, call us crazy if you want.

Manager Phil Parkinson praised the club’s impressive performance in the FA Cup match, crediting the players for their character, heart, and quality on the ball. While an injury to defender Aaron Hayden may hinder the team’s progress, Parkinson intends to use the Cup revenues to bring reinforcements and loan signings to boost their promotion campaign. Wrexham aims to make a mark in the football world, and with Reynolds and McElhenney at the helm, the sky’s the limit for this ambitious Welsh club.

Ryan Reynolds’ emotions took a wild ride during Wrexham’s FA Cup match against Sheffield United. The non-League side, co-owned by the Hollywood star, put him on an emotional roller coaster that took him from joy to despair and back again. The match resulted in a 3-3 draw, with Wrexham conceding in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

Wrexham, who took the lead twice through Thomas O’Connor and Paul Mullin, were pegged back by goals from Oliver Norwood and Egan. Despite the disappointment of conceding from a set play, Mullin expressed confidence in the team’s performance. He stated they were the better team throughout the game, creating chances and limiting Sheffield United to few chances in open play.

Reynolds and one of his daughters had flown in for the fourth-round match, held at the atmospheric Racecourse Ground, to experience the excitement firsthand. Despite the heartbreak of the late concession, Reynolds took to Twitter to express his excitement and appreciation for the Wrexham supporters who aimed their hearts at the pitch.

Instead of advancing to the fifth round, Wrexham will now face Sheffield United in a replay at Bramall Lane. Despite the result, Reynolds and the Wrexham fans will surely look forward to another thrilling match filled with emotions.
