“How much you pay me?”-Iran national team manager snaps at reporter after being asked about women’s rights in a press conference on 2022 FIFA World Cup

Carlos Queiroz is the head coach of the Iran national football team and is leading the middle-eastern country to the FIFA World Cup happening in Qatar. Although, the Iranian was covered in controversy recently as he snapped at a Sky Sports journalist after she asked the manager about women’s rights in Iran.
The former Real Madrid manager responded, “how much you pay me to answer that question? You are a private company, how much you pay me?”. “Talk with your boss and at the end of the world cup, I can give you the answers if you make me a good offer.”
The Iran manager brutally shrugged off all the allegations being put on Iran about their strict policies on their women. Various protests were held all over the world demanding FIFA to exclude Iran from the 2022 World Cup and include Ukraine instead since the World Cup qualifiers began.
Iran’s brutal laws demand the women of their country follow a lot of rules and are not been treated as equals. Former FIFA president Sepp Barter showed his support and believed that Iran should not be taking part in the world cup following the global protests against getting country’s regimes.
The Iranian Kurdish woman Mahsa Amini died in police custody in recent weeks after she was arrested for breaking Iran’s brutal dress code. Worldwide protests were organized following this event and Iran’s national team coach was not having any of it.
