The Champions League final will be a rematch of the 2017-18 final between Real Madrid and Liverpool in which Los Blancos defeated the Reds 3-1 with some calamitous goalkeeping from Loris Karius and the individual brilliance of Gareth Bale who scored with a Bicycle kick goal in the final.

On the rematch with Madrid who famously beat him in the 2018 Champions League final when sustained an early injury, he added: “I remember the last final against Real Madrid as if it was yesterday. We are well prepared and hopefully, we can take our revenge in the next final.”

While talking about his departure from Chelsea, Salah added: “Before 2018, some said that I could not do anything after leaving Chelsea, but I continued and did great things, I think in a positive way and try to be on the right path.”

The 29-year-old knows that collective success with Liverpool is the top priority, and is determined to make it happen. “Hopefully we can get the three,” he said. “If not, then at least the Premier League and the Champions League. It’s a hunger. I want to win them two, three, four times. Why not? You can dream whatever you want to dream, and you can achieve whatever you want to achieve.”
