Romelu Lukaku’s sensational €115 million return to Chelsea hasn’t gone quite his way this year. The Belgian was reduced to bench warmer for the tail end of the season following disappointing performances and a lack of goals upfront.

Lukaku is now desperate to return to Inter Milan where he has enjoyed the most explosive goal-scoring seasons and as per Calciomercato, the Serie A giants are willing to pay as much as €8 million to sign the 29-year-old on loan.

Each of Romelu Lukaku’s goals cost €8 million to Chelsea last season

Having scored just 13 goals in all competition for Chelsea in 42 appearances, Romelu Lukaku couldn’t justify his high price tag at Stamford Bridge. The Blues are also convinced that the best solution of for Lukaku to move.

Thomas Tuchel enjoyed more success when Lukaku was not leading the lines up front. The duo’s relationship strained more during one of Lukaku’s interviews last season where he said he dreamed of going back to Inter Milan.

Inter Milan cannot afford to resign Romelu Lukaku after selling him for £97.5 million last season. Hence, the club are reportedly ready to offer players plus a cash deal to permanently resign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea.

The club are ready to offload fullback Denzel Dumfries and defender Milan Skriniar as part of the deal, something that could tempt Chelsea. However, both Skriniar and Dumfries are being monitored by other club as well like PSG and Manchester United and could make an offer soon.
