Is Ousmane Dembele planning a move to PSG in the summer of 2022?

Ousmane Dembele is one of the most sought-after free agents this summer. The Frenchman still does not know if he will continue at Barcelona or if he will leave for another club, reportedly PSG.

Dembele and Barcelona have yet to reach an agreement on his renewal, despite continuous attempts by the club. The latest was a meeting between Alemany and his agent Moussa Sissoko.

Earlier, according to ‘FootMercato’, Sissoko met with Nasser Al-Khelaifi on Saturday to find out what Paris Saint-Germain’s intentions are and how far they are willing to go to sign him.

Paris Saint-Germain wants the French winger to fill the vacancy left by Angel Di Maria, who also has no clear destination but is expected to go to Juventus.

The days are going by and there is only a little over a month left before Dembele officially finishes his contract with Barcelona. In the meantime, he could have scored his last goal for Barcelona on Wednesday.

Will Ousmane Dembele really leave Barcelona?

The French World Cup winner is a free agent on June 30 and has been playing hardball in negotiations with the Blaugrana, who he joined from Borussia Dortmund in 2017, since the turn of the year.

First-team coach Xavi Hernandez refused to send Ousmane Dembele to the stands to watch the rest of Barca’s trophyless campaign, and instead exacted top form from the 25-year-old who became a leader in assists across the squad while also challenging the likes of Karim Benzema and Lionel Messi in the discipline across the rest of Europe.

According to a report published on Thursday, Ousmane Dembele is set for a reunion with his former teammate Messi and replicate the Argentine’s move last summer by leaving FC Barcelona to join PSG as a free agent – something he has allegedly already informed Barca’s coaches about.

Manchester United, Chelsea, and Juventus are also among the clubs to be credited with an interest in the forward, who has spent the last five years at Barcelona, arriving from Borussia Dortmund in August 2017 for a record 130 million pounds.

The former Rennes youngster has made 150 appearances for the Catalan giants in all competitions, contributing 32 goals and 34 assists in the process, which is average but for the fee he was bought, a lot more was thought of him.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta recently said that the club had submitted a new offer to the France international “a long time ago” but was yet to hear back.

“The offer was presented a long time ago and they have taken time to answer us,” Laporta told Catalunya Radio. “We cannot force anything because this depends on two parties.

“I believe that he will stay, but he is tempted by other options that he could believe are superior.”

After Mbappe turned down Real Madrid at the weekend and penned a three-year deal to remain in Ligue 1, the forward is said to have requested Les Bleu colleague Dembele’s presence at PSG.

Backing claims of Ousmane Dembele – who was reported as “95% out” of the Camp Nou exit door in recent days by a famous website – moving on is the fact the Frenchman has already put his house in Barcelona up for rent according to reports.
