“I am a Madridista,” Javier Tebas openly backs Real Madrid to win La Liga title
La Liga president Javier Tebas has backed Real Madrid to make a strong comeback to win the La Liga title.

La Liga president Javier Tebas has backed Real Madrid to make a strong comeback to win the La Liga title. Los Blancos are currently nine points behind the Blaugrana at the top of the table.
Real Madrid has at times, looked very shaky at the back which has caused them to concede goals when they should not have. This has led to them falling behind their arch-rivals in the race for La Liga this season. Barcelona on the other hand has the best defence in Europe right now. It could be seen in their recent 1-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao away from home.
Real Madrid fans are slowly losing hope in their team in terms of winning La Liga this time around but Javier Tebas believes otherwise
Carlo Ancelotti’s team have 56 points from 25 matches in La Liga. They look set to lose out on Barca in a bid to defend their throne as the Spanish champions. Tebas however, believes on the contrary. He stated, “Is La Liga over? I am a Madridista. Real Madrid have already made league comebacks with 7-8 points behind, there are still a lot of La Liga games left. Imagine Madrid winning El Clasico, they would be very close.“

Carlo Ancelotti talks about Real Madrid ahead of Liverpool clash

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti spoke to the press ahead of Real Madrid’s clash against Liverpool at home. They currently lead against Liverpool with an aggregate score of 5-2 after the first Leg. He was quoted as saying the following:
“The message is clear. We don’t have to do any calculations, what we have to do is play as well as we can. We have to go into the game in the same way as we did in the first leg. We’re not thinking about what could happen, we just need to play with the intensity and passion required to win the game.” He stated if he was complacent for the second leg.

He further added, ” I might not express a lot of tension but there are times in your career when you really struggle with it, that’s to be expected. Against Chelsea was one of those times. Everyone who was involved in that comeback understands.”
He was referring to last year’s dramatic comeback against Chelsea wherein Karim Benzema scored a 96th-minute winner to win Los Blancos the tie and propel them into the semi-finals of the Champions League.
