Barcelona locked horns with Real Betis on Saturday. The home side thrashed the visitors 5 goals to none at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. In a game that saw the Blaugrana at their very best, Betis stood no chance since the starting whistle. A clip of the match has been in circulation where the Barca players Alejandro Balde, Lamine Yamal, and Joao Cancelo danced past Betis defenders. Further, they combined to humiliate them with back-to-back nutmegs in the second half.

Known for his close control and skill, Cancelo took a deft touch before pulling back the ball and poking it between a Betis player’s legs. This got the crowd on their feet. The crowd went wild when teenage sensation Lamine Yamal received the ball from Cancelo before nutmegging another player.
The Blaugranas were treated to a prime Barcelona display. Many believe that this could be their year in terms of lifting the UCL after a long wait. Meanwhile, the match that had some good moments is overshadowed by this mesmerizing moment of a ‘Duo of Nutmeg’. Barcelona was ‘business as usual’ on Saturday, as they humiliated Real Betis with a 5-0 victory. Finally, Joao Cancelo also bagged a debut goal after dropping his defender in the penalty area before unloading a blistering shot past Francisco Vieites at the far post. Xavi‘s side are now top of La Liga with 13 points in 5 games. Rivals Real Madrid are right behind with 12 points and a game in hand. Barca face Royal Antwerp on Wednesday for their Champions League opener.
