Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva joked about the secret to Manchester City’s Premier League title victory over Aston Villa. City won the Premier League for the second consecutive season after completing an outstanding comeback vs Aston Villa.
On Monday, City celebrated their title win with an open-top bus procession around Manchester. Grealish, along with Kyle Walker and John Stones, got a bit over away when he made fun of Bernardo Silva.
“It’s been fantastic to win my first trophy, and I want to thank everyone. However, the primary person I want to thank is Bernardo Silva, who came off in the 70th minute after being miles off the pace the day before,” said Grealish.

With City losing 2-0, Silva was substituted by Ilkay Gundogan, who scored a brace to help his team turn things around. Later, with a camera in hand, Silva approached Grealish to ask what the secret behind City’s spectacular turnaround against Steven Gerrard‘s team.
“There were two secrets… one, Riyad [Mahrez], pull him off the pitch as quickly as possible,” the winger said with a great smile on his face. He was yesterday’s [Newcastle star Miguel] Almiron.
“Number two, get Silva off the pitch because he’s been so outstanding this season.“
“Number three… keep Jack Grealish on the f***ing bench,” the Portuguese said as a third secret.
Grealish then burst into laughter and buried his face in his hands, probably due to the fact that he had remained on the bench the entire time. With the duo enjoying the banter among the overwhelming jubilation, Silva had a wide smile on his face as well.
