French footballer Kylian Mbappe has admitted that he has been “blinded by bias” amidst the Ronaldo-Messi rivalry. He made this shocking revelation in his latest interview. Moreover, Mbappe shared his perspective on the most popular debate about the greatest footballer of all time.
Kylian Mbappe has often been compared to the generational footballers Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. He acknowledged the fact that Ronaldo has been his favorite idol since childhood, and he could see beyond his personal bias about the Portuguese legend over Lionel Messi.
The latest confession from Kylian Mbappe has shed some light on Mbappe’s maturing as a professional footballer over the years. However, he emphasizes his admiration and love for both of them. He said that both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have brought unbelievable talent and passion to the beautiful game of football.
Mbappe stated, “I love Cristiano, I was a big fan of him when I was young. But I start to learn, Messi (is great) too because when you are a big fan of Cristiano when you are young you can’t see how Messi is good because you love Cristiano. But I grew up and I love both now.” PSG’s star forward’s confession has further fueled the debate about the greatest footballer of all time.
Kylian Mbappe has been left out of France’s International squad
Mbappe was left out of the starting squad in their defeat against Germany. In all of the 4 games that he was left out of the squad, France hasn’t won any of the games. France has managed two draws and two losses without the 24-year-old.
Later in the post-game interview, French manager Didier Deschamps revealed that Kylian Mbappe had injured his knee during the training sessions. He further consoled the PSG fans, stating that not bringing him up was just a precautionary measure as the injury wasn’t very serious.
The next challenge for France will be against the Netherlands in October, where the fans await Mbappe to start. In the interview, Deschamps said, “Kylian has a problem with his patellar tendon following yesterday’s training It’s not serious, but it’s a problem that bothers him and with risks too. If he couldn’t start, he shouldn’t have been brought on either.”
Football fans and enthusiasts eagerly await Kylian Mbappe to continue his rise and transition to one of the most influential footballers in the current football scenario.
