Kylian Mbappe put up on sale by PSG; set to miss pre-season tour to Japan amid rumors of joining Real Madrid

PSG dropped a bombshell on Friday after excluding Kylian Mbappe from their upcoming pre-season squad for their tour to Japan. The decision by PSG comes amidst a contract dispute mush speculations of him leaving the French side.

The 23-year-old has been an integral part of PSG’s starting lineup since his joining, but his reluctance to sign the new contract offered by the club has raised concerns about his future endeavour. With his current contract of Mbappe with PSG which will expire in 2024,  growing speculations about the French superstar’s potential departure from the club.

Rumours have been airing all over social media about Mbappe’s potential destination for the upcoming season if he leaves PSG. Nasser-Al-Khelaifi, PSG’s club president, has been clear about his stance laid out to Mbappe and his agent. 

The club reportedly offered a contract of $1 billion for 10 years to the star baller on Thursday. Either the Frenchman agrees to a contract extension or he will be put up for sale by the end of this summer transfer window. La Liga giants, Real Madrid are the front runners in the race to secure his signature to replace him with the departure of Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema.

Former PSG sporting director, Leonardo, criticized and showed concerns over Mbappe’s behaviour over the last two years questioning his role as a potential future team leader. He told the PSG club management to consider selling Mbappe, asserting the fact that PSG exited before him,  would continue to flourish even without him. These comments have added tension surrounding his transfer speculations.

Kylian Mbappes’s future hangs in air amid his exclusion from PSG’s pre-season squad and Real Madrid’s offer

Despite the ongoing uncertainty, Mbappes has previously stated his decision to remain in PSG till the end of his contract. However, the latest development in his behaviour and the lack of a definitive response from Mbappe has put PSG in a difficult position.

With the club’s recent stake at their exclusion of Kylian Mbappe from the pre-season tour, the lineup has intensified the whole situation. PSG will be considering him leaving the club by the end of this season. 

As PSG contemplates the possibility of the departure of the striker from the club by the end of this season, Kylian Mbappe’s final decision remains unclear. With Real Madrid, Arsenal & many other clubs all over Europe racing to sign the superstar baller, the football world anxiously awaits the ultimate resolution of this captivating transfer saga.
