Many believe that Erling Haaland has the potential to rival Kylian Mbappe in a career-long challenge. A challenge that is similar to the one undertaken by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The rivalry between the two players has spanned nearly two decades, and discussions about the “Greatest of All Time” (GOAT) title continue to arise. However, Mbappe is determined to separate himself from such comparisons with Haaland. He instead acknowledges the remarkable era that Messi and Ronaldo have contributed immensely towards the globalization of the sport.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sports Mbappe said, “Things should be read differently. It happens perhaps every fifty years or more to have two players like Messi and Ronaldo at such levels for so long. We lived through an exceptional era and I hope the fans took advantage of it. I was lucky enough to play against Cristiano and then against and together with Leo: they are truly special. I learned a lot from them, especially with Messi in these two seasons. They wrote the history of football: they are eternal.”
PSG ready to offload Kylian Mbappe this summer

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is determined to move on from Kylian Mbappe this summer. The future of the French international remains uncertain as the 24-year-old opted against triggering the option to extend his contract until 2025. Therefore, he can leave as a free agent next summer.
The Parisian Outfit is not ready to let the player walk out for free next summer. Therefore, they are willing to negotiate with other clubs for him.
Real Madrid remains the most interesting club for him. While many other clubs will be excited about the prospect of signing him.
