Kylian Mbappe was once frauded in this ‘Cryptocurrency’ scam

Kylian Mbappe is a global superstar. The French captain’s global reach was, however, misused by crypto scammers. Mbappe thus became a target for crypto scammers, who used his images to run fraudulent cryptocurrency advertisements.
Back in 2020, Mbappé’s personality was utilized in a story headlined, “The latest investment by Kylian Mbappé put experts under pressure and frightened big banks,” which began circulating on the internet. Several streaming sites carried the story. Mbappe, however, was unaware that his name was being utilized in such an article.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker has reportedly filed a complaint of fraud with the French police after his photo was used for fraudulent purposes. Anne-Sophie Coulbois, head of the Central Office for the Suppression of Financial Crime with the French police, explained the scam, “These pages are used to impersonate future victims, save your contact details, then an alleged vendor calls them to explain the procedure for investing, but there is never a product that is invested in.”
Mbappe was previously targeted by scammers when his Twitter account was hijacked. The star’s Twitter account offered “shoutouts” to its followers for a “small fee” of €200 in Bitcoin. The message was retweeted hundreds of times in the hour that it was live. Shortly after, the tweet was removed, and users were informed that Mbappé’s account had been returned to him.

Kylian Mbappe’s Real Madrid move on the cards again?
The 2018 World Cup winner’s time with Paris Saint Germain looks to be over. The star is in his last year of contract and has not triggered his extension for another year. PSG, do not want Kylian to leave for free the following summer and informed him either to extend his contract or to get sold this summer.
The striker has a deadline of July 19 to extend; otherwise, he will be sold. The tensions between the club and the player increased after Kylian’s harsh comments about the club. Many stakeholders of the club now want Mbappe to be sold off. Mbappe has constantly been linked with a move to Real Madrid.
The Frenchman looked set to join the Los Blancos last year but backed out at the last moment. Mbappe instead signed a big-money extension at PSG. But now with him looking to quit, the Santiago Bernabeu looks like his next destination. Real has already splashed a lot of cash on Jude Bellingham this summer and thus prioritize waiting out for Mbappe. However, if need be, the Madrid club are always willing to splash more cash, and they can thus make Mbappe the latest Galactio.
