La Liga and UFC sign historic deal to promote each other’s brand
La Liga and UFC
The world’s top mixed martial arts organizations, UFC and LaLiga North America have established a promotional alliance to interact with sports fans through social media partnerships, on-site event coverage, digital content, athlete activations, and more.
This connection was born from a fruitful first attempt between UFC and La Liga North America. UFC fighters Brandon Moreno and Ilia Topuria at the commencement of La Liga’s 2022–23 season. The two superstars visited Spain, where they attended a La Liga match and met Valencia CF and Atlético de Madrid players. They produced content that was then shared on platforms for the league, the club, and the players.
Athletes from both sports will continue to collaborate under the new arrangement. To promote LaLiga, its teams, and its players among UFC fans, LaLiga and the UFC stage at least three activations in Spain each year, including athletes and LaLiga clubs.
In exchange, LaLiga will be integrated into UFC productions that already feature LaLiga players and ambassadors, such as the podcasts Entre Asaltos and UFC Unfiltered, the Facebook show Fuera del Octagono, and the Twitter Spaces show Area de Combate. LaLiga North America will produce social content related to UFC Fight Weeks in addition to social media partnerships to raise UFC’s profile among the enthusiastic soccer community.

Top non-UFC promotions
Since MMA has become more popular, we have observed a rise in several promotions. MMA is now available on Fox, CBS, NBC, and other stations, increasing its exposure to a wider audience. The UFC is without a doubt the best promotion in the entire globe. It has the best TV deal, the strongest roster in the world, and it leads the pay-per-view market.
How about the best of the rest, though? Examining the top 10 non-UFC promotions, let’s rank them according to their lineup, presentation, a TV deal, and other intangibles. In the past, BAMMA ruled MMA in the UK without challenge. It is currently regarded as second only to Cage Warriors, which you will see later on this list.
For MMA competitors who had trouble gaining attention in Asia, One FC has quickly established itself as a legitimate promotion. Now, young men from the Philippines, Guam, Indonesia, and other lesser-known Asian nations can develop their craft in a distinguished environment. As previously mentioned, it seems as though Cage Warriors has surpassed BAMMA as the leading promotion in England. There are motives behind that.
