La Liga announces special gift for Cristiano Ronaldo amidst Al Nassr exit rumors
The 'Ronaldo effect' spreading in La Liga.

The La Liga sports TV has announced the broadcasting of all upcoming Al-Nassr matches. The global impact of Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival in Saudi Arabia has caused a sensation at Al Nassr, with an overwhelming amount of news and coverage generated about the team and the league championship.
His former club in Spain where he enjoyed his best years might have something to do with the broadcasting approvals of Al-Nassr who, despite the likes of Cristiano joining them, still remains a mediocre club given the fact they crashed out of the Saudi Cup competitions and are placed second in the Saudi Pro League despite playing a game in hand.
The Portuguese star’s presence has shone a spotlight on the Saudi league, propelling Al Nassr into the top four clubs generating the most interactions across social media platforms in January. the Riyadh-based club achieved 150 million interactions, a remarkable achievement which is a meteoric rise for the Arab team since Ronaldo joined their ranks, taking them above Manchester United.
The impact of the Portuguese player’s arrival on Al Nassr’s social media presence has been remarkable. On Twitter, the club achieved 12.5 million interactions, ranking third behind only Barcelona and Galatasaray. Similarly, on Instagram, Al Nassr has risen to fifth place in terms of follower growth. On TikTok, the club’s posts garnered an impressive 166 million views.
Cristiano Ronaldo berates referee after being denied a penalty for Al-Nassr against Al-Raed

Cristiano Ronaldo completely lost his temper after he was denied a penalty during Al-Nassr’s eventual 4-0 win over Al-Raed on Friday. Ronaldo was furious with the referee in charge of the game between Al-Nassr and Al-Raed after he opted against awarding a penalty to the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s side. Ronaldo was taken down by a rash sliding tackle inside the box, but the referee waved away his appeals.
This is not the first time he has let his frustration spill out onto the pitch recently, having had an indifferent few weeks with Al-Nassr’s pursuit of silverware falling apart, prompting a change at the board level for the club. Ultimately the referee’s decision to not award what many would consider a clear penalty did not change the course of the game, with Al-Nassr going on to win 4-0.
It did mean that Ronaldo was unable to add to his tally and clinch a brace, having opened the scoring after four minutes. Al-Nassr still have five games to go till the end of the campaign and the squad will hope they can rely on their main man and captain as well as their rivals to drop points to overturn the results.
