Poland captain Robert Lewandowski spoke to the Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, revealing his desire to play with FC Barcelona legend Lionel Messi. The Barcelona striker has announced that it would be a “dream” to play alongside La Pulga in the Barca colors. Like many Culers, even Robert Lewandowski wishes for Messi to return to Camp Nou.
The Polish captain met the Argentine at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. They faced each other in the group stages. Robert Lewandowski and Lionel Messi shared a few intense moments during the match. “It’s not up to me. Of course, we see that now he plays more like a playmaker, maybe he scores less goals and gives more passes to his teammates, but he still scores them.” Robert Lewandowski said about playing with Lionel Messi. The Polish striker had so much praise for the World Cup winner that he believed Messi might also win next year’s Balon d’Or.
“Of course. There is maybe one more player playing for the same club but there is only one World Cup that decides who is going to win it this season and Leo is now in the top position for sure,” Lewandowski is expecting the Argentine to win the award yet again next year.
