Lionel Messi’s return to Camp Nou has recently received significant media attention. However, it appears that the Argentine has not yet decided, despite internal debate at Barcelona. According to Fabrizio Romano, PSG wants to extend Messi’s contract past 2023. But Messi is reportedly not going to decide until 2023.

Since Robert Lewandowski joined Barcelona in the summer, the team has experienced tremendous success. Since joining the team from Bayern Munich, the Polish international has scored 12 goals and is still regarded as one of the top attackers in Europe.

In 2021, the club legend abruptly left Camp Nou due to a financial crisis and board conflicts. Later, he signed a two-year contract to join Paris Saint-Germain, but his term is set to expire in 2023, so a trip back to Catalonia may be imminent.

Barcelona is making every effort to convince Messi to return to Camp Nou, and a recent report from Albert Lasan suggests that Joan Laporta, the club’s president, has even made amends with the Argentine in anticipation of a possible summer transfer.

Messi and Laporta, who were close during the latter’s first stint at Barça, appear to have reconciled their differences and are in discussions about a prospective reunion at Camp Nou.

Since Robert Lewandowski joined Barcelona in the summer, the team has experienced tremendous success. Since joining the team from Bayern Munich, the Polish international has scored 12 goals and is still among the greatest attackers in Europe.

Lewandowski has enjoyed unrestricted success, but Barcelona are still keeping an eye on Messi. Barcelona is eager to pair the 35-year-old with another seasoned striker in Lewandowski since he is still at the peak of his game. This might result in a strike tandem that could help the Catalans regain their former glory in the future.
