According to recently surfaced reports, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is planning to sign Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher. The Reds sit in eighth position in the Premier League, eight points off a top-four spot, and most of the blame has fallen on their players in the middle of the park.

Looking at his team right now, Jurgen Klopp undoubtedly will be looking to strengthen his midfield. While Bellingham is a player that has been linked to the Merseyside club for a long time, a new target has emerged from the latest reports, with Conor Gallagher amongst the first choices for the Liverpool manager in the center of the park.

The Blues midfielder has played 33 matches for the London giants this season and has also scored and assisted a goal each across the campaign. While the England international has shown signs of brilliance this season, his amazing form last season on loan at Crystal Palace put him on the radar.

With his stamina being his most dominant trait, Gallagher might just provide the physicality and dynamism that would suit Klopp’s high-pressing style. However, if reports are to be believed, it would seem that Jude Bellingham still remains the Red’s top priority for the upcoming summer window.

Whether Conor Gallagher signs for the Reds remains to be seen, but when Chelsea welcomes Liverpool at the bridge on April 5, Jurgen Klopp’s gaze will be firmly fixed on the Blues midfielder throughout the game.

Following the sacking of Blues’ boss Graham Potter, Bruno Saltor from his backroom staff, has taken up the reins as Interim Head Coach of Chelsea FC. After an abysmal season for Chelsea, with both Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter axed by the club, the new Spanish coach could not have asked for a sterner test to start off his campaign, with a match against Liverpool scheduled next for the Blues.

With Quarterfinal clashes against Champions League favourites, Real Madrid, this month as well, the Spanish manager will have his hands full for the remainder of the campaign. But, despite Saltor’s appointment, it is reported that Chelsea will try to sign Julian Nagelsmann before the end of the campaign to maximize their chances at a positive end of the season.
