According to SPORTbible, Liverpool has decided that they will let Mohamed Salah leave the club for a meagre fee of just £60 million rather than adhere to his wage demands and break their wage structure.

Mohamed Salah is reportedly asking for wages of £160,000/week. This would make him the club’s highest earner, more than defender Virgil van Dijk, but Liverpool is not ready to break their wage structure.

It is safe to say that most of Liverpool’s success in recent has been all down to Mohamed Salah. In 254 games for the club, the player has managed 156 goals and 63 assists. He has won the Premier League Golden Boot twice while finishing top 2 in 4 of the 5 seasons.

Liverpool will surely be letting go of one of the best players in the world right now if they let Mohamed Salah leave and that too for a price of just £60 million.

The 30 year is out of contract in June 2023. Hence Liverpool must sell him either in this transfer window or in January if they want to recoup any money for the player. Although, the club’s first priority will definitely be to tie him down to a new deal.

Mohamed Salah has helped Liverpool to 1 Champions League, 1 Premier League, 1 UEFA Super Cup, 1 Club World Cup, 1 EFL League Cup and an FA Cup since his arrival in 2017. Liverpool fans will definitely not forgive the club if they let Salah leave for free next year.
