Real Madrid’s Luka Modric, in a recent interview, shared his desire to continue winning trophies and matches during his time at the club, providing insight into his future in the Spanish capital. The 2018 Ballon d’Or winner, hailed as one of the greatest midfielders, contributed significantly to Real Madrid’s collection of trophies, including five UEFA Champions League and three La Liga titles, following his move from Tottenham in 2012. Modric has made around 500 appearances for Real, scoring 38 goals in all competitions. However, the emergence of younger talents like Valverde, Jude Bellingham, and Camavinga has limited Modric’s starting opportunities at Real, fueling speculation about a potential departure from the club in the summer of 2024.

Luka Modric recently spoke to the club’s official channel, thanking the world’s best football club for the opportunity. In the final months of his contract, his main goal is to help Los Blancos win trophies. Despite rumors about leaving, he wants to savor every moment with the team and is happy about reaching 500 appearances for the club.

My plan is to keep making history at Real Madrid, to keep winning games, trophies and I hope it will happen this season. Hopefully I will enjoy every moment because you never know how long this will last at the best club in the world. I'm grateful for all I'm experiencing at the best club in football history.
Modric said as reported by Fabrizio Romano

The 38-year-old midfielder nearing the twilight of his career credited Real Madrid for his success in winning the 2018 Ballon d’Or and delivering strong performances in the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups. The prospect of his transfer is intriguing, especially considering the attention from numerous clubs keen on acquiring the skilled player.
