“I strongly believe in them” – Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag OPTIMISTIC about Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund’s goal-scoring potentials

Manchester United’s manager, Erik ten Hag has spoken confidently of his players and their abilities to find back form. While discussing Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund, ten Hag did not shy away from defending their capabilities to become top players.

The Danish forward who was signed for £72 million from Atalanta, has been going through a goal drought. Irrespective of him being the joint-top scorer in the Champions League so far, he is yet to find the net in the Premier League. Erik ten Hag, however, believes that it is “only a matter of time” before the 20 year old young striker fits into the team and starts performing to their expectations.

I have a strong belief in Hojlund and in Rashford that they are capable of scoring a lot of goals.

In an interview with TNT Sports, the manager displayed confidence in his players and squad, indicating that the club might not be very active during the upcoming transfer window. He also motivated Marcus Rashford who has shockingly lost his place in the starting eleven to Argentine forward Alejandro Garnacho.

Rashford, last year under me, proved he can score many goals when he's at his best. He will score many goals, I'm sure.

The Red Devil’s manager asked the fans to look back upon last season and Rashford’s stunning form which he believes can come back soon. He emphasized his trust in the player to rediscover his form and guide United to important points and glory, as they look to improve their position in the league.
