Manchester City and Liverpool ready to pounce on Bukayo Saka after contract talks stall with Arsenal: Reports

Bukayo Saka

Bukayo Saka enters the final year of his contract with Arsenal with the Gunners having an option to extend his stay by one year. And while they prepare a new contract extension for the 20 year-old star, nothing concrete has yet been provided by them, allowing other big clubs to circle around Saka.

Primarily, it’s Manchester City and Liverpool have shown interest in the youngster. Manchester City are very close to losing Gabriel Jesus and possibly Raheem Sterling this summer. On the other hand, Liverpool could also say goodbye to Sadio Mane this summer, and Mohammad Salah the next.

Hence, it makes total sense for both clubs to go for the next big thing in the Premier League. Moreover, with Champions League football and a squad that actually competed for the highest honours, Bukayo Saka could be tempted to sign for one of the big clubs to step up his career as well.

“Leave Arsenal for good” – Adrian Durham suggests Bukayo Saka leave Arsenal

English Journalist Andrian Durham believes that Saka must leave Arsenal to improve his football career. He told talKSPORT: “He has to leave Arsenal for the good of his career. This season, he’s played 48 games in all competitions, he’s played in all 38 Premier League games, starting 36 of them. And he’s 20 years old.”

“This is frighteningly similar to Jack Wilshere’s stats in the season that basically ruined his career – he didn’t play a single game the following season because of injury because they played him too much when he was that age.”

“I think he’s still played less than 100 games in his career, and from the middle of last season where he suddenly burst onto the scene, and now they can’t leave him out, they can’t rotate him. He’s still young, they’re not looking after him properly.”
