Manchester City boss reveals why it’s ‘so difficult for him to win the Champions League
Pep Guardiola
Recently asked about the issue of Manchester City‘s failed attempts in the Champions League football, the coach Pep Guardiola revealed that the team has all the success it deserves whether in the Premier League or other titles, but for the Champions League, the coach said, “Because Madrid is always there”, emphasizing on the comeback.
The team has all the talent and potential required for a team to win titles and especially the Champions League but, the club has a stroke of real bad luck when it comes to the UCL, as they have never ever in their entire history won that trophy. It seems like even with a team like this, their chances of delivering it in the UCL are still not determined.
The club doesn’t have a huge history to boast about and in the European titles they no way come even close to the Spanish teams, Liverpool is in fact having success in the European titles with (6) but not in their own league.
Manchester City rivals Real Madrid’s comeback in the Champions League
After the massive heartbreak that Real Madrid faced back in 2018 winning the UEFA champions league for a record 3 repeated times, with the farewell of their legendary star Cristiano Ronaldo to Italy. Right after, the team struggled a lot both in La Liga and the Champions League to do well, and were defeated time and again.
The same year later, another blow to the team was the dispersal of their coach Zinedine Zidane who has done the 3 times UCL haul with the Los Blancos. After this, the team saw many legends leave the club such as Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, and more recently, Varane and Casemiro. Even after these blows, the team stood up and God knows how.
The team has won the league 2 times since then and another Champions League victory for the 2021-22 season after being down with back-to-back comebacks. The young talents and the masters in the team are all back in form to rule Spain and Europe as well. The new young signing has also proven to be an asset to the team.
