Manchester United breaks season record for tickets sold at Old Trafford
They broke the record previously held in the 2016-17 season.
Manchester United have reportedly sold over 2.3 million tickets over the course of this season at their famous Old Trafford stadium. The tally means they have surpassed their previous record which was created in 2016/17. The record was broken with over 3 months of football still left to play.
Fans have been turning up to the Theatre of Dreams in huge numbers while United have been excellent this season. They currently stand third in the Premier League only behind league leaders Arsenal and Manchester City. They won the Carabao Cup, their first trophy in six years. United also qualified for the quarters of the FA Cup and are currently in the Round of 16 of the Europa League as well.
As for individual performances, Marcus Rashford has been brilliant. The Englishman has found his mojo once again after a dip in form for the past couple of years. He currently has 25 goals and 6 assists in just 38 appearances in all competitions.
