David de Gea is set to leave Manchester United this summer after failing to be included on the club’s retained list for next season. De Gea is out of contract on June 30 and has so far not been able to agree terms on a new deal. De Gea has been at Old Trafford for 12 years since his move from Atletico Madrid.
David De Gea has seen a decline in form. As a result of his poor performances, United had asked the player to cut down his weekly wages, as per sources. The contract negotiations stalled as the keeper refused to reduce his £375,000-a-week salary.
Now De Gea has not made the retention list for United, which signals his time to end at United. He has made 545 appearances for the club. The FA Cup final against Manchester City seemingly was the last outing for De Gea in United colors. He will be a free agent shortly. Clubs from Saudi Arabia are pursuing the keeper.
David De Gea won the Golden Glove for most clean sheets last year. However, he seems unsettled in Erik Ten Hag’s system, which needs a goalkeeper with ball-playing abilities. United are looking for his replacements, with Andre Onana and Jordan Pickford rumored to join the Red Devils.

Benfica sets asking price for Manchester United target Goncalo Ramos
Manchester United need a striker this summer. With Harry Kane unlikely to be poached by the Red Devils, they have turned their sights elsewhere. One of the names linked to United is the Portuguese striker, Goncalo Ramos.
Goncalo Ramos is still 21 and made his name at the World Cup 2022. He replaced Cristiano Ronaldo against Switzerland. He proceeded to score a hat trick in that round-of-16 match. The striker has 25 goals for club and country this season. The man could lead the line for United alongside Marcus Rashford, as United have been priced out for any deal for Harry Kane. Tottenham is demanding £100 million and more for the striker.
Benfica has set £80 million as their asking price. The club would also be looking to include add-ons in his deal. The aim of the deal is to be structured in the same way as the Darwin Nunez deal- Liverpool paid £85 million for the Uruguayan with add-ons.
