Manchester United has drawn level with Arsenal for all-time FA Cup final appearances. Alongside their 12 trophy wins, Manchester United have lost in eight FA Cup finals. Their appearance in the 2023 FA Cup final will take their appearances in the showpiece match to 21, matching Arsenal for most in history.
Manchester United have reached a first FA Cup final since 2018 with the Red Devils aiming to win more silverware under Erik ten Hag in the Dutchman’s first season in charge. United have enjoyed a brilliant FA Cup record in years gone by, but they have struggled since Sir Alex Ferguson‘s retirement in 2013.
The club has won just one FA Cup since the iconic Scottish manager stepped away from Old Trafford, with local rivals Manchester City emerging as a more potent cup threat. However, United have already tasted Wembley’s success with Ten Hag in the 2022/23 campaign, via a Carabao Cup final win over Newcastle in February 2023, and they next face derby rivals Manchester City in the 2023 FA Cup final on June 3.
Manchester United have won an impressive 12 FA Cup titles in their history, making them the second-most successful team in the competition’s 151-year history, bettered only by Arsenal with 14. Manchester United’s FA Cup final appearance in 2016 yielded their first FA Cup success since 2004, as Louis van Gaal’s side beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at Wembley and hope to do the same against the Blues.

Manchester United is monitoring the situation around Paris Saint-Germain superstar

Manchester United are reportedly keeping tabs on Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar. The Brazilian has been out of action since February 19 due to an ankle injury. He started off the season brilliantly, scoring 13 goals and registering 11 assists for PSG in Ligue 1. His form dipped after the FIFA World Cup, and he has struggled with injury ever since.
The iconic forward would benefit the club massively both on and off the pitch. While he might not have the same pace and agility as before, a half-fit Neymar is better than most players in the world. United’s number seven shirt has been vacant since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. Neymar would be the ideal candidate to dawn the famous shirt.
Commercially, United would make millions in shirt sales and sponsorship deals. His carefree attitude could be a problem in the long term for Erik Ten Hag, but a player of his caliber cannot be turned down. It is to be seen whether United takes the financial risk of landing the generational superstar. He would demand enormous wages, and it would be difficult to get him out of Paris.
