Mason Greenwood‘s reinstatement in the club has reached a point of ‘no return’, Manchester United chiefs feel. Following heavy backlash and fan protest, the club believes that terminating Greenwood’s 18-month suspension and bringing him back to the team is now ‘impossible’. Reports of the management consulting with the Women’s team as well as sponsors hinted at a comeback by the player.

Mason Greenwood was facing an attempted r*pe charge which was subsequently dropped, following the loss of “key witnesses” in the case. Club management, however, proposed to conduct its own research before instating the player back into the first team.
