“Must not let it define our season,” Marcus Rashford boosts Manchester United’s morale after humiliating loss against Liverpool

Marcus Rashford believes Manchester United has the ability and mindset to bounce back after a humiliating defeat to Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday. He stated that it’s just a bump in the road of what is already proving to be a great season for United.

The 25-year-old took to Twitter stating: “I wish we could play a game today to try and put things right. The result is the result, and we can’t see past that! We must not let it define our season. We have to trust the process and stick together.” The result comes after a string of good performances for Rashford as he has 14 goals and 3 assists in just 25 appearances in the Premier League this season.

The no.10 from United was in the starting XI as Liverpool thrashed United 7-0 in front of an awestruck crowd at home. Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford looks likely to sign a new contract extension for the Red Devils with 18 months left in the current contract. Despite his willingness to stay, he draws heavy attention and interest from European giants such as Real Madrid and PSG.

The 25-year-old has been in his best form as of late as he has been racking up goals and assists in almost every game that he has played in. This new transition has come with Erik Ten Hag’s appointment as the manager of the club as he would look for Rashford to sign the extension and stay with the club for a longer period of time.

Erik Ten Hag has won 30 of the 42 games he has managed with United so far. This makes him the United manager with the highest win percentage(71.4%) of all time.
