Marcus Rashford injury update against Everton: How long will the Manchester United stay out of action?
Fans will be concerned following the injury.
Manchester United are concerned about Marcus Rashford‘s injury after he was forced off with limping in Saturday’s game against Everton. With 28 goals this season, the 25-year-old is United’s leading scorer.
Rashford set up Anthony Martial’s second-half goal, giving him his 10th assist of the season. However, with 13 minutes remaining, the attacker pulled up after running after a ball. He was seen signalling to the bench that he needed to be replaced.
The Englishman slogged off the pitch and into the tunnel, grimacing and looking uncomfortable. Wout Weghorst took his place. Rashford missed England duty during the March international break due to a knock. His availability for United’s Europa League quarter-final first leg against Sevilla is now in doubt.
Groin injuries can mean 4 to 12 weeks out of action. However, Marcus’ case looks to be on the serious side after Erik Ten Hag’s post-match comments. “We have to wait, doesn’t look well. Once again that is due to the schedule. It can’t be you play three games in six days. We have to protect our players,” he said.
The Reds had welcomed back Christian Eriksen for the first time since his January ankle injury, and Anthony Martial also returned recently after a prolonged stint on the sidelines. Martial netted his first goal since February 2 against Everton.

Manchester United win comfortably against dreadful Everton
It was a relaxed evening for Manchester United supporters as the Red Devils overcame a poor Everton at a sunny Old Trafford. United won 2-0 thanks to goals from Scott McTominay and Anthony Martial.
United got off to a fast start, with Antony, Marcus Rashford, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka all missing straightforward opportunities to give their team the lead. McTominay finally ended the fans’ frustration with a superbly taken goal in the 36th minute after a clever pass from Jadon Sancho.
Everton created a few chances in the second half but could not truly test Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea. Anthony Martial put the game to bed with a composed finish following a mistake from Everton right-back Seamus Coleman.
Following the match against Sevilla on Thursday, United will face Nottingham Forest before returning to Spain in the Europa League. Three days later, the club travels to Wembley to face Brighton in the FA Cup semi-finals.
