The much speculated Ballon d’Or ranking of the PSG star Lionel Messi has been leaked and it’s nothing but a matter of war between his fans and the critics. In total, the player scored only 11 goals for PSG with his relatively indifferent club form failing to impress France Football magazine, the organizers of the Ballon d’Or.
The speculated ranking of the player was revealed and stood on 83rd position, which is obviously not an official mark but a question on his underwhelming performance at the French club, and a ranking around difficult performance and reasoning for the player.
PSG teammate Neymar also misses out after a season where he scored 13 goals in 28 matches.
Seven-time Ballon d’Or winner paid a high price for an underwhelming first season with Paris Saint-Germain when he was left off the 30-strong list for this year’s coveted football award.

The Argentine star is considered arguably the greatest football player on his planet and it was for the first time since 2005 that the player has missed out on nominations in the Ballon d’Or list and the year 2022 didn’t turn out as monumental in his career as his rest of the career looks like.
The player has an award cabinet that would store an entire football World’s accolades that this single player holds, but the first season for a new club and new league seems to be a blow for the star and is finding it difficult to cope with it.
While having seven prestigious Ballon d’Or to your name, a player of his stature need not worry definitely about the ranking but must worry about missing out on one, whatever the reason, the player would still stand as a GOAT.
