Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen – currently out with a Hamstring muscle injury – reveals he would pick the MLS over the Saudi Pro League in a recent live interview on Twitch on the channel, ‘tvplay_it’. Talking about football and life outside of the sport, Victor Osimhen revealed his preference for playing in the MLS over the Saudi Pro League. The forward spoke praises about the league in the Middle East. He said:

It’s a great league and it’s taking on a lot of talent. Because of his [Ronaldo's] influence, they have attracted a lot of talented players to also go there...For me, they are doing something amazing.

He gave credit to Cristiano Ronaldo and his influence which caused many European superstars to make the move to Saudi.

But if I had the same conditions, I would go to MLS over the Saudi Pro League.

Victor Osimhen, in addition, addressed other topics during his interview. He discussed playing in Serie A, emphasizing that people underestimate its challenges as he mentioned that Italy is one of the toughest leagues tactically and physically. Later, he also shared his thoughts on the potential Ballon d’Or winner this year, expressing that both Erling Haaland and Lionel Messi are deserving candidates. Osimhen added that winning it would be a future goal and a dream of his.

While a move to either the MLS or Saudi is not in the cards for the 24-year-old striker, in the latter half of his career, American clubs will look keenly at the player with his recent proclamation.

With the injury occurring a little less than two weeks ago, Sky Sports Italia – when the injury first came to light – reported that such an injury would usually keep the player out for at least up to four to six weeks. Further reports have suggested further scanning will take place in the upcoming November International break to ensure the player’s full and proper recovery.

This, however, means Osimhen will miss Napoli’s game against AC Milan. A crucial fixture for both sides, a win for Napoli would put them within touching distance of league leaders, Inter Milan.
