Mohamed Salah congratulates Tottenham star Son Heung-Min after the Korean wins the joint Premier League top scorer award with him

According to a tweet, Mohamed Salah congratulated Tottenham star Son Heung-Min for sharing the Premier League Golden Boot as Salah and Son both scored 23 league goals this season, and the race for the accolade ended with both winning the trophy.

The 29-year-old South Korean forward has made an even bigger impression than usual as he signed a new four-year contract with Tottenham last year, giving the north London club a boost heading into the 2021/22 season. Son Heung-min scored twice in Tottenham’s 5-0 win over Norwich City, ensuring his team’s qualification for the Champions League next season as they beat Arsenal in the top four race.

Salah was humble and took to social media to congratulate Son. The Egyptian King liked the tweet and added: “Congratulations Sonny!” in a photo that showed the Tottenham star returning to his birthplace with the Golden Boot in hand.

Son has been one of the most underrated players as Harry Kane makes the headline most of the time though their relationship never affected their on and off-field chemistry which helps Tottenham qualify for UCL next season.

Salah led Spurs midfielder, Son, for the majority of the season, but his brilliant run in the final ten games helped him close the gap. This season, the 29-year-old scored 23 goals in the league while also contributing nine assists. What’s more impressive is that none of the goals was scored on penalty kicks.
