Chelsea forward, Mykhailo Mudryk, goes on Instagram to show off his weightlifting numbers after the player loads up the barbell. While the player is having a tough start to his Chelsea career, the player does not let this hinder his workouts.
Fans had already noticed a sizeable difference between his physique last season and his physique this season when the new jersey announcement was made. The player seems to have put on a major amount of muscle mass during the off-season. When Mudryk first arrived at the club, he came as a skinny boy with immense talent and blistering pace. The player has since then put on muscle to ensure that he does not get bullied by the physicality of the Premier League. While there are no doubts about his physical prowess, the player’s new build should help against the more physical teams of the Premier League.
Mykhailo Mudryk’s start at Chelsea has been a rough one. After an impressive performance against Liverpool last season, the player has since then been unable to perform at the same level. Mudryk, 22, who came from Shakhtar Donetsk for €70m with a further €30m in add-ons is yet to prove his worth. The player has shown hints of being an incredible player, however, his ability in the final 3rd has been lacking. The Chelsea forward now seems to be headed to Arsenal as a part of a swap deal for Emile Smith Rowe.
While the Chelsea board might see this as the right move, players who have left Chelsea have mostly gone on to flourish elsewhere. A player of Mudryk’s talent does not come regularly. Chelsea will be wishing that a case such as Kevin De Bruyne and Mohamed Salah is not repeated. A direct rival strengthened by a Chelsea -reject.

Chelsea had a 22/23 season to forget
A season to forget for Chelsea fans, many might have thought it to be hopeful. Graham Potter was appointed as manager. They had an exciting transfer window with huge names coming in. Names such as Raheem Sterling, Marc Cucurella and Wesley Fofana were added to the team. Stars from across the globe were also purchased. Kalidou Koulibaly, Enzo Fernández and João Félix all joined the club. For a lot of teams, signing these names would excite the fans to no end, Chelsea fans were no different.
Many fans, however, were worried that the addition of too many players could destabilize the squad. “How will this player fit in? Who makes the starting 11? What is our play-style?” Several questions emerged. Almost all their worries came true. Chelsea ended their season 12th in the League. Kai Havertz was their top scorer with 7 goals followed by Sterling with 6. Only 4 teams in the Premier League scored fewer goals than them.
Mauricio Pochettino will now take charge as they aim to improve off a poor ‘22/23 season. The Argentinian has work to do as Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku, seems to be out for a lengthy period. With one win, one draw and one loss, Chelsea have had a fairly quiet start to the season.
