According to reports, Gordon can face up to six months in jail after a report showed that he was seen driving his Mercedes G Wagon on Wednesday. He was handed a ban earlier last week after he failed to produce the information about his driver. The ban disqualified him from driving for six months in response to multiple signal-breaking and speeding accusations.

The report also shared that Gordon was seen parking at the Hilton hotel near Gateshead town center in the evening. He also had his girlfriend as a passenger in the car. After he received the ban, it was his girlfriend who was taking him to the training facility earlier last week. The Northumbria law enforcement said, “As is standard practice, we wouldn’t confirm or deny the identity of anyone who may or may not be part of a police investigation and who has not been charged with a criminal offence.”

The former-Everton midfielder left the burning a few bridges on the way. After joining the toffees as an 11-year-old, Gordon wanted to change clubs in the summer when Chelsea came knocking but Everton held it off to keep him in the club. However, late in the winter transfer window, Gordon stopped training to expedite his wish to join Newcastle United.

Fans of Everton are unhappy to see their player jump ships when the club is fighting relegation. However, Gordon said in his message to the fans that the funds Everton will accumulate from his sales, will help them going forward. He said, “I love this club and I always have from the day I joined but the time has come for me to lave. I know many won’t understand but the next chapter awaits. I will always wish the best for this club and always be watching on.”

However, the fans were understandably angry with the youngster and he received a fair amount of rants during and after his departure. Gordon replaced Allan Saint-Maximin in the Magpies’ recent clash against David Moyes’ West Ham United where the teams shared the spoils. He was less effective than he would’ve liked as he failed to come inside and create on multiple occasions.

Newcastle will play the EFL Cup final against Manchester United on February 26. Eddie Howe would want to see Gordon make use of the time and settle in for the club’s first final since the turn of the century.
