The English talismanic striker has faced challenges in regaining his prior form, impacting his role within the team. Following relegation from the Premier League, Leeds now stand 4th in the EFL Championship. Bamford’s struggles with scoring have led to reduced playing time, especially with younger forwards like Crysencio Summerville, Joel Piroe, Georginio Rutter, and Daniel James delivering stronger performances. Out of his 18 appearances this season, 16 have been as a substitute, with the player managing just two starts.

Furthermore, Patrick Bamford’s sensational strike versus Peterborough United only marks his second goal this season across all competitions, highlighting his underwhelming performances. Nonetheless, his goal contributed to Leeds’ progression into the FA Cup’s 4th round after a convincing 3-0 win.
