Paul Pogba might dump Manchester United for arch-rivals Manchester City: Reports
With his time at Manchester United coming to an end, Paul Pogba is reportedly interested in playing for Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. The Citizens have become a shock suitor for disgruntled Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, with his contract set to expire at the end of this season.
The Daily Mail recently reported that Manchester City is interested in bringing in Paul Pogba on a free transfer, while the Guardian also claimed the French midfielder would like to work with Pep Guardiola, and that the club is willing to offer a four-year deal.
If he makes the move, Pogba would be arguably the biggest name to ever make the switch, rivaling Carlos Tevez’s move to noisy neighbors in 2009 after two successful years in the red side of Manchester.
In 154 Premier League appearances since his arrival in 2016, Paul Pogba has scored 29 goals and laid on 41 assists.

Why does Manchester City reportedly want Manchester United’s star Paul Pogba?
Pogba’s Manchester United performances do not equal the sum of what he is capable of – far from it, at least that is what Pep Guardiola believes if he wants to sign the Frenchman. There is a reason that he performed so well at Juventus and continues to be a starring figure with France in the best international side in the world. Quite simply, if he is used in the correct manner, world-class results are possible from him.
Manchester United has never built their midfield around Pogba and he has been unable to suitably adapt. It has been a failing of both the management and the player.
He is, no doubt, a luxury player as a consequence, but if he has the right figures around him, he can be a match-winner. Guardiola must feel that he is capable of unlocking this potential at City, where the ethic of the squad is such that they could cope with shouldering the additional defensive burden that he would doubtless put upon others.
