Journalist and broadcaster Piers Morgan has thanked fans for their support for his scoops as he won the TRIC Interview of The Year Award for his epoch-making interview with Cristiano Ronaldo. The interview changed the whole landscape of world football as it resulted in Ronaldo leaving Manchester United under mordant circumstances. One might argue that Ronaldo joining Al-Nassr has brought about this global shift towards the Middle East in the beautiful game that the world is experiencing right now.
After receiving the award, Piers Morgan thanked all his fans for their love and support towards him. He also mentions Cristiano Ronaldo. Morgan said, “Delighted to win Interview of the Year at TRICawards for my Cristiano scoop. Thanks to my brilliant team at PiersUncensored. And thanks again Cristiano – I may need to borrow one of your trophy cabinets at this rate!”
Morgan’s candid chat had an immense effect on the footballing universe. It was a conversation where Ronaldo talked about his life, the life of his loved ones, and football. It was on this show that Ronaldo revealed that he didn’t respect the coach Erik Ten Hag.
In the interview, the Portuguese also exposed the mishandling of the club under the Glazer reign. He claimed that the training ground has not been upgraded, the stadium was not renovated and the management had no intention to invest in the club. A lot of these points had been resonating around Old Trafford for time immemorial, however, coming out of the mouth of one of the most famous sporting figures in the history of the game has surely shifted a lot of limelight on the issue.

Piers Morgan also took a swipe at runaway Royal family member, Meghan Markle. His feud with the Dutchess of Sussex has been one of the key turning points in the career of the broadcaster and he did not forget to “thank” her during his speech.
He said, “I want to thank Meghan Markle because, if you think about it, without her contribution to my career I would never have gone to TalkTV. I would never have been standing here with this award.”
Morgan then continues, as he said, “Thank you, I can almost feel the warmth in the room. I know what you are all thinking, long overdue. But obviously, my initial pain at realizing that this was going to be presented to me by Dan Walker was soon overtaken by the reality of the enormous pain that he would be suffering in having to present it to me so thank you, Dan. Although what you know about interviewing is beyond me, it was a joke, it was a joke.”
